China is a country that is rich in culture.  It is comprised of many different ethnic groups, many of which have their own languages and customs.  Music and dancing is a big part of the Chinese heritage.

Tourists to Beijing can experience traditional Chinese dancing in Beihei Park and at other outdoor venues in the city.  It is not uncommon to see couples dance the traditional Chinese waltz under towering trees.  The sound of traditional music and the sight of dancers in their colourful ethnic dress is wonderful to experience.

Outdoor dancing is an informal pastime in China that people of all skill levels can enjoy.  All that is needed is a little music and lots of courage!
